The Art Love and Fashion Show is the brainchild of Salon Elixir Owner Jessica Pelkey. This year, I was asked to play a small role in this creative collaborative event by photographing the models studio style before they left Salon Elixir for the MVU runway!
Let me begin by saying that in terms of creative collaboration, I was in awe of the talent that I saw around me.
For those of you that may not be familiar with the Pets, Art, Love and Fashion Show~it is a fashion show that takes place on stage at Missisquoi Valley Union High School. It is a fund raiser that in the past has earned money to support the local animal frontier society, and this year benefited MVUHS performing arts and also created a $500 Art Love & Fashion Show Art/Trade specified scholarship.
This year's fantasy collection consisted of Super Heroes, Villains and Mythical Creatures. The costumes were designed and created by the talented Christina Forcier, this ambitious woman created twenty custom looks for the twenty volunteer models. Her work is amazing! Furthermore, the Salon Elixir Artistic Team were responsible for the hair and wigs, as well as the makeup and body paint of the models.
I know that many other individuals contributed to the success of this show including those that helped the models and creative team, yes, bravo to all involved. Additionally, the runway photos and "creatures in the making photos" were taken by Tammy Fortin of Winterbutterfly Photography, you should be able to view those event photos on the official Art Love and Fashion Show Facebook Page.
I loved all of the models that I had the pleasure of photographing! Each of you had something unique and special to offer! Below, I included a few of my favorite looks from the event. Enjoy!
