Senior Model Team Utilizes the Hot Air Balloon Festival as their colorful backdrop

July 14, 2019

Our senior model team is made up of class of 2020 senior girls from all over the region, representing 5 high schools.  I am thrilled to play a small part in their lives as they continue on the challenging, yet exciting transition to adulthood.  In addition to building confidence, self esteem and becoming the best versions themselves in a creative, supportive environment...these girls are having a blast at our get togethers and photoshoots all summer long.

The overarching creative theme for my Class of 2020 Senior Model Team Sessions is "Color Pop."  During the Creative Planning session the models and I collectively decided that a fun event with a lot of color would be the Stoweflake 33rd Annual Hot Air Balloon Festival in beautiful Stowe, Vermont.

Vermont's ever changing weather produced thunderstorms that changed our initial plans for a lively festival like evening atmosphere, to a sunrise launch the following day.  Nearly 2/3 of our models awoke early in the morning to meet at the launching site at 5:15 am on Sunday morning.  Here are the girls, looking admirably lively, shortly after sunrise!

Can you believe it?  We arrived before the balloons...we had a little fun in front of the camera as we waited for them.  The early morning golden light was perfect!

As the balloons were inflating, a pilot from Maine invited our team inside the balloon for a once in a lifetime experience for the girls:)
